How to get RTR vehicles (objectspawns) to show up in your maps
I could not get battlecraft to recognize the RTR levels and when i copyied and pasted anzio in the regular bf levels folder it was seen by battlecraft but said i needed permission to change those maps (i use mapeditor 1.2 for RTR maps and it worked great and you can add RTR staticobjects also (house,trees,etc..but they must be added into the cullradius.con also or it will give an error on not finding that object..adding RTR pieces to bf maps is tricky.))

ok i got a letter from Djordy yesterday and he wanted to know how to get RTR vehicles into his maps and any other map for bf1942 (he's using battlecraft) so i sat down and gave it a shot and 35 min later i think i have a solution...
They havent released the RTR objectspawns.con list for battlecraft so this is my way of fixing the problem until they release the file for RTR and battlecraft

i used a regular bf map to do this and it should work for a map made from scratch...battlecraft maps you will have to extract to change the files with notepad..

your best bet with buildings and trees is to use map editor 1.2 ...alot better for setting objects and if your using map editor 1.2 follow my instructions (map editor 1.2 page) on how to make it so buildings show up in map editor 1.2...

now in each catagory
controlpointspawns

in each of those you need to open and do a create template-(if it is a map made from scratch)
..lets say you want to add a RTR tank (m11-39 allied small tank ) so you do a create template then name it lighttankspawner and choose a tank from the bf1942 list and add it
now when you get done the thing that will make it work is to copy and paste a precache.con file from a RTR map and then with notepad open (after extracting map with rfaextractor to c:\bf1942...) open the objectspawntemplate.con and change the tank names to rtr names

(List at bottom of page)

then you MUST put this line in the menu/init.con file

game.setMapId "XPack1" (if you dont it WILL crash)...

then you need to add this into the init.con in the main folder (delete origional then paste this)

game.setTeamSkin 1 ItalianSoldier
game.setKit 1 0 Italian_Scout
game.setKit 1 1 Italian_Assault
game.setKit 1 2 Italian_AT
game.setKit 1 3 Italian_Medic
game.setKit 1 4 Italian_Engineer

and after you pack it up and put in the RTR levels folder and activate RTR it will have rtr vehicles showing...


if you want to make a regular BF1942 map just leave the file wording alone ..then pack up and put in your bf1942/levels folder

this has only been tested in conquest mode so far ...will test other (co-op,ctf,tdm,dedicated server) tonight...it worked with a created game and joined from my other comp with no problem...

for co-op to work you need to copy the objectspawntemplate.con and replace the one in singleplayer folder for vehicles to show in co-op or origional bf vehicles will show
